Cleanliness & Safety
Our team at the BOplex has always strived to deliver safe and memorable experiences for our visitors and staff. We want our guests to have sound peace of mind when stepping foot in our venue and visibly see the commitment we have made to maintaining exceptional, health-conscious conditions.
Patron Guidelines & FAQs
After thorough examination and research of global best practices and CDC guidelines, we have created the following proposed protocols to ensure our events are presented in a safe manner. This is not an “all-inclusive” plan, rather potential strategies, as reopening progresses and more data and recommendations become available. We thank you for your support.
Venue Disinfection
GLOBAL BIORISK ADVISORY COUNCIL® (GBAC) STAR™ ACCREDITATION
Bojangles Entertainment Complex is an accredited Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s (GBAC) Star™ Facility, which ensures the facility is implementing the industry’s highest standards for cleaning and disinfection of infectious agents like the novel coronavirus. The GBAC Star™ designation complements the organization’s existing initiatives to prepare for the return of guests to the BOplex.

Sanitation Venue Staff
Sanitation Coordinator
Bojangles Entertainment Complex will have a sanitation coordinator leading the overall public health and safety initiatives throughout the venue.
Sanitation Event Day Staff
A venue cleaning and disinfection team will focus on cleaning and disinfecting high touch areas with increased frequency on event days.

All Bojangles Entertainment Complex restrooms will be equipped with touchless flushing, hand sinks, soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers. Restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected with an increased frequency during events.

Let's Stay Healthy Together

Patron Arrival Procedure FAQs
After thorough examination and research of global best practices and CDC guidelines, we have created the following potential strategies and will readjust as reopening progresses and more data becomes available.
- Boplex.com Website
- Charlotte Checkers Website
- Social Media Posts
- Pre-Show Email
- Onsite Signage
- Venue Monitors
- Scoreboard
- Local News Outlets
- Messaging on Ticket Receipts at Purchase
Dozens of hand sanitizer stations will be installed strategically throughout the mbuilding in high traffic areas including the lobby and concourses. The event management team will increase team members to specifically monitor soap/sanitizer dispensers and refill as needed on event dates.
Patrons will be required to wear protective face masks if mandated by the state and local guidelines, or if the show requires for admission. Masks will be available for purchase in the box office and select concession stands
If mandated by the state and local jurisdictions or requested by the event/promoter, patrons will have their temperatures checked prior to entry, using an infrared thermometer, provided by Bojangles Entertainment Complex. Per CDC guidelines, patrons that register a temperature of 100.4 degrees or above will be further evaluated by onsite medical personnel. If a high temperature is confirmed, the patron will not be permitted to enter the BOplex. The patron and the patron’s party (up to 10 people) will be provided with a full ticket refund (not including any broker ticket upcharges). This refund should include all ticketing service charges, venue facility fees and parking, if paid direct to the venue.
In order to reduce the handling of personal property between patrons and venue staff, patrons may only carry a clear clutch bag. A clear bag policy will expedite the screening process, as well.
All patrons must have their ticket or barcode visible for ticketing staff to scan. Ticket takers will refrain from touching patrons’ phones or tickets to keep the interactions touchless.
Bojangles Entertainment Complex will operate primarily by accepting debit and credit cards for all onsite purchases. Cashless transactions will be available in the following areas:
Box Office
Bars + Concession Stands
Merchandise Stands
Parking Lots
Food Handlers
Based on state and local guidelines, concession staff will be equipped with masks, gloves and other personal protective equipment.
Plexiglass Barriers
All concession stands will be installed with plexiglass barriers between patrons and staff.
Pre-Packaged
The majority of concession items will be pre-packaged, canned, bottled or pre-mixed for patrons.
Condiments / Utencils
All condiments and utensils are individually wrapped and will accompany food items when picked up.
Mobile Food Ordering
Patrons are strongly encouraged to download and use the BOplex food ordering app to decrease customer wait time in lines and assist with social distancing.
Electrostatic Disinfectant Spray
Prior to an event, an electrostatic disinfectant spray will be applied by venue staff to sanitize all high touch surfaces and high traffic areas within the venue. This includes seats, handrails, elevator buttons, merchandise stands, restrooms, bars and concession stands.
