About the CRVA

Brands supported by the CRVA include Bojangles Entertainment Complex, the Charlotte Convention Center, Spectrum Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte Regional Film Commission and Visit Charlotte in conjunction with the region's destination marketing brand. The CRVA operates under a "One CRVA" philosophy in which each brand is considered part of one larger, cohesive organization, sharing the same mission and values.

History

Our History

This historic Bojangles Coliseum and Ovens Auditorium opened as part of the auditorium-coliseum complex located on Independence Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sept. 11, 1955. The complex provided the city with its first major civic auditorium and dedicated sports and concert venue.
